Nutrigenomics

Nutrigenomics is the study of the effects of nutrients on the expression of an individual’s genetic makeup. Since we are all different, and with the ever increasing presence of chemicals,
toxins and pathogens in our environment, a one size fits all approach to nutrition doesn’t always work. We believe that nutrition based on the unique needs of the individual is the best approach.
Our goal is not to say your genetics caused your condition, which is rarely ever the sole cause, but to figure out which genes are expressing due to poor lifestyle, toxins, stress and other factors(epigenetics).
Additionally, we find that many doctors aren’t doing the correct labs to get the right information for the patients needs, or aren’t interpreting the results appropriately. In our nutrition sessions, with a thorough history, thorough intake forms and utilizing functional lab tests we have great success getting to the root cause of chemical imbalances in the body.
Genetic Testing is not required for our consultation, however if genetic testing is utilized, we utilize a private lab called My Happy Genes to determine your unique health risks.
